Eldrige Squarles damaged the tractor-trailer he was driving and a median sign when he failed to maintain his lane and overturned at northbound I-285 near Northlake Parkway, according to the accident report.

He was hauling 37,000 pounds of candy that spilled onto the highway.

Squarles told police he veered right to avoid hitting a car that pulled in front of the truck and forced him to slam on his brakes.
