A man was found shot dead in downtown Atlanta Monday.

The victim, who had not been publicly identified as of Monday afternoon, was found about 6:30 a.m. on a sidewalk on Broad Street, the Atlanta Police Department said. They said the victim had a “possible gunshot wound to the head.”

No witnesses were present. The case is under investigation by the department’s homicide team.
