Doraville will place nearly a dozen signs around the city.

Doraville is replacing entrance signs to the city. City Council members picked the designs out of five choices submitted by local graphic arts designer Michael Halbert who also designed the signs at the Northwoods entrance locations in 2014.

“We are extremely pleased with the new city entrance signs,” says Doraville Mayor Donna Pittman. “As Doraville continues to grow and evolve, this updated look provides added polish to our changing city landscape.”

Two different designs are being installed. The larger, stone signs are at main entrance points into the city. The alternate signs are being placed at entrance points in the city that may have limitations such as physical space restrictions, sight-line restrictions and right-of-way restrictions.

The city also plans to erect new directional signs to city locations such as the library, city hall, court and the municipal pool.
