A new Publix opening in Jonquil shopping center is expected to bring at least 125 jobs to Smyrna.

Most of the job positions will be entry-level, according to the company.

The grocery store will be located on the northwest corner of Atlanta and Spring roads. The intersection sees nearly 46,000 vehicles per day, according to the developer.

Halpern Enterprises told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that they have received a proposal to place a traffic signal in the intersection.

The Atlanta-based chain Willy’s Mexicana Grill also recently signed as a tenant to Jonquil. The location is expected to open in early 2017.
