Delta Dental Insurance Co. has signed a lease in a Roswell office park that would let the dental benefits carrier increase its total number of employees in Georgia by 200 people.

Most of the growth will be in the firm’s customer service unit, according to Roswell Inc, the city’s economic development organization. Delta Dental leased an additional 51,886 square feet in Sanctuary Park and will take occupancy in October of the top two floors of Stonebridge II, at 1120 Sanctuary Parkway inside Roswell city limits.

The company’s new space is next door to its current six-story building, on the Alpharetta side of the office park. The expansion would bring Delta Dental’s total employee headcount in the state to 1,000.

“We knew this office space would become available before it hit the market, and also knew Delta Dental was looking at expansion opportunities locally, so we were able to connect the dots and get all the right people at the table in a timely way to make this deal happen,” said Steve Stroud, executive director of Roswell Inc.

The seven-year lease was brokered by Steve Joseph of CBIZ Gibraltar Real Estate in Chicago working with Mitch Kahlert and James Sanders of ICON Commercial Interests in Atlanta, with agency leasing representation by Jeff Bellamy and Adam Viente with Jones Lang LaSalle in Atlanta. The Metro Atlanta Chamber was also had a significant role.
