ORIGINAL STORY (Aug. 14): An Atlanta deli failed a recent health inspection, Fulton County records show.
The U.S.A. Deli on Memorial Drive scored a 51/U following the Wednesday evaluation. Scores below 70 are considered failing.
The restaurant also failed an inspection in January, but scored a 95/A on the re-inspection in February.
According to the recent report, there was a failure to provide “active managerial control” during the two-hour long inspection.

Officials also reported that an employee did not use soap when washing his or her hands and said there was “heavy buildup” in an ice machine.
Manager Lynn Song said employees are working on fixing all the violations. They will undergo health training, she said.
At least one of the violations — no hot water in the facility — was due to the restaurant losing power during Monday's hit from Tropical Storm Irma, Song said.
The manager was given a handout on food safety before, during and after a power outage, the report said.
Follow-up inspections are generally completed within 10 days of the original evaluation.
