Convicted DeKalb County murderer Taiquan Mitchell is headed back to court Tuesday morning — this time in cuffs.

The 24-year-old Atlanta man, who fled the courthouse last week during his trial, is set to face a sentencing hearing at 9 a.m.

He was apprehended last Wednesday in Columbia, South Carolina, after two days on the run.

Mitchell, who had been out on $125,000 bond since 2014, faces life in prison plus as much as 60 years for the January 2014 death of Marcus Beanite Waters, 29.

Under Georgia law, the minimum sentence for murder charge alone is life. The question is whether he'll ever have a chance at parole.

Waters was killed in a robbery at a home on Carteret Place near I-285, where police found him naked and the door kicked open.

Mitchell's co-defendant Deon Dorsey, who was also found guilty, will be sentenced during the hearing before Judge Asha Jackson on Tuesday morning as well. Dorsey never posted bond.
