Decatur police are investigating a total of 68 vehicles that were broken into, and one stolen, from parking decks located at 130 Clairemont Ave., 315 West Ponce de Leon Ave. and 335 West Ponce de Leon Ave. Apparently all occurred the night of Oct. 1/early morning Oct. 2.

The investigations were triggered by a burglary at the Common Ground Real Estate office on West Ponce with police responding at 2:32 a.m. Oct. 2. According to spokesperson Jennifer Ross a witness saw four young men “throw a rock through the business window, enter and take unknown items and flee the scene in a white Mercedes Benz sedan.”

Surveillance video from one of the parking decks shows “suspects” in the same type car at 1:15 a.m., prior to the Common Ground burglary.
