Decatur High School had a 95.4 gradution rating in 2018.

Decatur High School graduated 95.4 percent of its students in 2018, down just a bit from the previous year’s graduation rate, according to data released Wednesday by the Georgia Department of Education.

During the 2016-2017 school year, Decatur High — the only high school in the City Schools of Decatur district — had a 96 percent graduation rate, according to the state. The school enrolled 272 students that school year. There were 283 students enrolled during the 2017 to 2018 school year.

The school is no stranger to high graduation rates. In 2015, the school had the highest graduation rate in metro Atlanta with 97.1 percent.

The school’s consistently high rates also earned it a spot on this year’s U.S. News & World Report “best” high schools list. It ranked No. 16 in Georgia, according to the list.
