This is a roundup of recent crimes of note in Cobb County. It is based on arrest warrants, police reports and jail records. At this point, these are allegations by law enforcement.

• Cable bill leads to gun pointing

A woman is accused of putting a gun to a man’s head and threatening to blow his head “off into 20 damn pieces” if he didn’t pay a cable bill, according to a police warrant.

This all allegedly took place on Dec. 12 where the woman lives in Austell.

Police wrote that she wanted the man to use his credit card to pay the bill.

The warrant did not detail her connection to the man, but it did categorize the crime as domestic.

An audio recording of the incident, police said, captured her telling the man, “You open your (expletive) mouth and you’ll be dead quicker before you get the chance to tell anybody.”

As of Wednesday afternoon, records showed that the woman was in jail.

• First step, close the car door

An Acworth woman remained in jail Wednesday after police say they caught her with drugs driving dangerously Dec. 12.

A warrant alleges that the woman was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with “reckless disregard for the safety of persons or properties” on Shallowford Road. Her driver’s side door was “completely ajar ... swinging freely,” the warrant said.

The cops said she was swerving into lanes, driving fast before ducking into a Home Depot parking lot and making erratic turns, which officers took as her trying to ditch them.

When they did catch her, they found two baggies of heroin in the car along with a needle and a burnt spoon. Her drug charge is a felony count.

• As Nelly once said“It’s getting hot in here...

It got heated recently at a Mableton barbershop when, police say, one barber pulled a gun on the other.

According to a warrant, this happened Dec. 14 “during an argument over the level of heat within the barbershop.”

One barber stepped outside to smoke a cigarette and left the door open. The other barber told him to close the door.

That’s when the barber outside pulled a pistol from his waistband and told the other barber to come outside.

The barber with the gun was also found with a marijuana cigarette in his pocket, cops said.

He remained in jail with a $25,000 bond on Wednesday, records show.

 Man ran into cops  literally

A man who was in a car that collided with a police car was allegedly found trying to get rid of evidence by chewing baggies of marijuana.

He was booked into Cobb jail Dec. 15 on drug and open container charges in addition to a count of tampering with evidence.

The warrant didn’t say who was at fault for the crash, which happened at Lawrence and Black streets in Marietta.

The warrant did say that the man was chewing on five grams of marijuana and had an open bottle of Corona on the floorboard by him.

He bonded out for $3,520 two days after being arrested, records show.

• He reached for her bag of celery, so she bit his nose

A Smyrna woman was arrested for allegedly biting a man’s nose during a domestic argument.

Police didn’t say in the warrant what caused the Dec. 17 incident, but the woman was “waving a bag of celery in said victim’s face” when he grabbed at the bag.

“(She) lunged forward and bit said victim on the nose,” the officer wrote.

The woman bonded out for $1,320 about four hours after being arrested, jail records show.

• “Once you pop, the fun don’t stop”

Not signaling while changing lanes is what led to a Marietta woman’s arrest for drugs, police said.

Officers found 38 grams of marijuana in a “Pringles can with a false bottom” after stopping the vehicle on Lower Roswell Road, according to a warrant.

The woman bonded out Thursday on her traffic charge and felony count of possessing drugs with intent to distribute for $8,470 — about eight hours after being arrested, jail records show.
