Cops say metro Atlanta men sold fake Stanley Cup tickets in Nashville

Two metro Atlanta men were sent to the penalty box in Nashville for allegedly selling fake Stanley Cup Final tickets to an undercover cop.

Kenny Lamar Redding, 32, of Atlanta, and Torriane Davenport, 42, of Marietta, are accused of selling the tickets Saturday to Game 3 between the Nashville Predators and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The city said in a news release Monday that the men were selling outside a Hilton in downtown Nashville.

Police searched Davenport and found “numerous fraudulent tickets hidden (in) one of his socks,” the city said.

He is being held on a $76,000 bond and Redding remains in a Nashville jail on an $80,000 bond.

Any Preds fan would have been happy to get in considering the team beat the Penguins 5 to 1.

Another man — John Powell Conner, 39, of New Orleans — was also arrested that night for trying to sell four tickets at $800 each, the news release said.

The city assured there would be undercover officers looking for scalpers peddling bunk tickets ahead of future games.
