Still in his hospital gown, Keith C. Grant arrived at the DeKalb County jail charged with a violent crime.

Warrants released Monday accuse the 38-year-old Lithonia man of shooting two men last Tuesday, with one victim taking seven bullets.

DeKalb police have described the incident as a gun sale gone bad.

It happened at 3:30 in the afternoon on Young Road in the Redan area. Grant is accused of twice shooting the driver of a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado truck and then stealing it — with the passenger inside.

The passenger was subsequently shot seven times.

Grant was also injured in the ordeal and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital after being tracked by police dogs. He was released and booked in the county jail Wednesday, according to records.

He remained held without bond Monday.

Police haven't given an update on the conditions of the victims, who were both taken to local hospitals.

Grant is charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping and armed robbery.
