Gwinnett County police are looking for this man and two other people in connection with a robbery.

Two men were robbed at a QuikTrip in Gwinnett County when they met a man under the pretense of buying two iPhones, police said.

The buyer had arranged to meet with a man who identified himself as “Lil J” and claimed to be selling the iPhone 7s for $350 each. The men initially connected on the OfferUp resale app, police said.

The buyer and a friend met Lil J at the QuikTrip on S. Norcross Tucker Road in unincorporated Tucker on May 13. The buyer asked Lil J to make the sale inside the gas station for safety reasons, but when they met inside, Lil J said he didn’t think the buyer had the cash for the phones and walked back outside, according to police.

The buyer and his friend, who accompanied him for the sale, followed Lil J outside. A man and a woman with Lil J, did not enter the gas station and no photos were captured of them on security footage.

When the buyer showed Lil J he had the cash, Lil J held up a gun and told the buyer and the friend to give him their money, wallets and credit cards, or they would be shot. The two victims handed their belongings over to Lil J, ran towards a walkway that connects to the Gwinnett Station apartment complex, police said.

Lil J has been described as a 5-foot-6-inch tall man weighing 145 to 150 lbs. The unidentified male with him was described as 5-foot-10-inches, 160 to 170 lbs. with a “fade/mohawk” haircut. The unidentified woman was 5-foot-5-inches, between 160 and 170 lbs. with long dark hair.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of any of the suspects is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.

Gwinnett County police recommend using well-lit areas, including any Gwinnett County Police Department precinct, headquarters or annex parking lot, to meet people for sales arranged online.
