An unidentified man is accused of posing as an Uber driver before sexually assaulting a woman, police say.
The victim was leaving a Buckhead bar on the night of March 11 when she got into a car under the assumption it was the Uber she'd ordered, Atlanta police spokesman Sgt. Warren Pickard said during a Tuesday press conference.
But instead of taking her home, the man allegedly drove her around for several hours before climbing into the backseat of the black Ford sedan and sexually assaulting her. The man reportedly then drove her to an ATM, where he ordered her to withdraw cash, and dropped her off in the vicinity of her home about 2 a.m.

Police confirmed the suspect is not an Uber driver and believe this isn’t the first time he’s committed a similar crime, Pickard said.
The woman, who came forward in the last 30 days, told police the man said his name was Rodney Harrison. Police believe he gave the name of a former NFL player, and not his own.
