The suspect in a fatal shooting two days ago at a Waffle House in Decatur was arrested Thursday.

Anthony Henderson Perryman, 27, shot Tanya Dunlap in the head and left her to die in the parking lot of the Flat Shoals Parkway eatery Tuesday, police said.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office did not mention a motive when announcing Perryman’s arrest.

Customer Greg McCory told Channel 2 Action News at the time that two young women ran in the restaurant shouting: "He shot her. He shot her."

He told police he ran outside and tried to help the woman, who was breathing at first.

McCory said he then saw the shooter driving around with a door open and yelling: “Who else want some?”

Perryman then sped off.

Investigators tracked the Columbus man to a home in that area.

He remains in Muscogee County jail and will face a felony murder charge when he returns to DeKalb County, police said.
