Construction on Gwinnett express lanes to slow traffic again

Construction on the Interstate85 Express lane extension project continues with daytime traffic pacing between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Traffic will be led by law enforcement southbound on I-85 beginning at Hamilton Mill Road in Buford and northbound on I-85 beginning at Old Peachtree Road in Lawrenceville.

Traffic pacing is required for safety while contractors with Georgia DOT continue blasting. Motorists are warned to expect delays and plan ahead for alternative routes if possible.
