The architectural design for College Park’s new police south precinct substation on Godby Road will soon be determined, the city recently posted on its website. First, architectural and engineering firm Metro Corp. will provide services and additional technical assistance to prepare construction specifications that will go along with the contractor selection process.

The city also reports that the customer service division of College Park utilities is dealing with an issue - which it said is common to other jurisdictions - of tenants not paying outstanding utility balances once they abandon their leases or move. College Park is working on new policies to make sure previous tenants bring their account balances to zero. The process would include a 21 day transition period, or investigation, before the utilities are hooked up again at the address.

The city also said in its post that construction of the WallyPark commercial development at Herschel Road and Camp Creek Parkway should start soon.
