To move ahead with new Cobb schools, the Cobb County Board of Education voted April 19 to phase out all or part of five existing facilities.

They include:

  • Lassiter High School Auxiliary Gym to receive a new competition gym.
  • Harmony Leland and Clay Elementary Schools to get a new combined facility.
  • King Springs Elementary School for a replacement school.
  • Pebblebrook High School Auxiliary Gym and CTAE Building to receive a new gym, a new theater and a classroom addition.

The board must supply this resolution to the Georgia Department of Education before the Cobb County School District can begin construction on the new facilities.
