Kennesaw police are asking for help to find a woman they say robbed a credit union on Saturday.

The woman handed a note to a teller in the Navy Federal Credit Union at 1300 Ernest Barrett Parkway about 10:40 a.m., according to the Kennesaw Police Department.

The note demanded money and alleged that she was armed, the agency said.

She left the area, where Ernest Barrett and Cobb parkways meet, after getting an undisclosed amount of money.

Authorities described her as between 20 and 30 years old, with a weight ranging from 110 and 130 pounds and standing between 5 feet, 4 inches and 5 feet, 5 inches tall.

Police said she had red hair, which could have been a wig, and was wearing a light blue long-sleeve button-up shirt with a white undershirt and blue jeans with large holes on both legs, dark high-top tennis shoes and a purse with black and white stripes.

If you have information about the case, call police at 770-429-4533 or contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta anonymously by calling 404-577-TIPS (8477) or texting “CSA +” your tip to CRIMES (274637).

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
