A Marietta man has been in jail a week for allegedly luring a Papa John’s delivery man to a vacant apartment and then robbing him at knifepoint for the pizza.

Arismende Coronado is being held on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and burglary from the Oct. 15 incident, jail records show.

Coronado broke into a vacant apartment on Garrison Plantation Drive about a mile away from where he lives and ordered the pizza about 11:30 p.m., according to a warrant.

“Once the delivery driver arrived, (Coronado) did point a knife at the victim and order him to place everything on the ground and leave,” the warrant said.

The delivery man “under duress dropped the pizzas and then fled.”

Police said there were several pies.

Coronado’s next scheduled hearing before a judge is Nov. 7, according to magistrate court records.

Court records also show that Coronado is facing a rape charge involving a 13-year-old girl from the beginning of the year. He is set to appear in court on that charge Oct. 30.
