Peachtree City police are investigating an incident in which a 2-year-old boy drowned in Lake Peachtree on Sunday.

Police and fire personnel responded to an emergency call around 7 p.m. at a house on Loblolly Circle after the child was found unresponsive in the water. After life-saving measures were attempted by the family and first responders, the child was transported to Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, where he was pronounced dead.
