The city of Chamblee announced that the Chamblee Rail Trail, temporarily closed for construction for the Parkview on Peachtree project, will remain closed until August. The project has had unforeseen site and utility issues that have caused delays.
The developer, Connolly Inc., will begin constructing a decorative timber bridge over the Chamblee Rail Trail in July.
Pedestrian fencing and signs indicating trail closure will remain in place for the duration of the trail relocation project. Once reopened, the new section of the trail will be available for pedestrians and cyclists.
