The City of East Point is partnering with the Morehouse School of Medicine to connect families to nutrition, health awareness, and educational empowerment through East Point Eats Well! East Point Mayor Deana Holiday Ingraham and celebrity culinary chefs will cook nutritious meals as part of a live cooking demonstration at various convenience stores in the City of East Point noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. The locations are:
Food Mart, 3056 Bayard St.
Debbie’s Convenience Store, 3230 Washington Road
Chevron Food Mart, 4485 Washington Road
Food Mart, 1046 Cleveland Ave.
This health initiative is designed to combat food access challenges by providing access to fresh fruits and vegetables at various convenience stores throughout the City. Participants will also receive free meal kits for families, nutrition screenings and health and wellness tips.
