“Apparently, the child was on an overnight field trip without his parents knowledge,” Sgt. Warren Pickard said.
Willie Myrick left his residence on Confederate Court in southeast Atlanta about 10 p.m., police said earlier.
Myrick was kidnapped in 2014 when he was 9 years old, Channel 2 Action News reported.
He reportedly sang the gospel song “Every Praise” until his kidnapper threw him onto the street and drove away, the station reported.
