Kristen Brooks of Woodstock Elementary School was named to the Apple Distinguished Educators Class of 2017.

Mia Bouchelle, Megan Brown, Alyssa Dula, Kyran Hainje, Abby Le, Edwin Jang, Jin Jeon, Sunmin Kim, Daniel Ko, Holly Langenderfer, Jessie Lowe, Leonardo Maduro-Salvarrey, Mclane Murphy, Anjali Natvar, Cameron Palmer, Zarah Punjwani, Grant Seroyer, Kathy Shen, Sean Shen, Amber Shillow, Hassan Siddiqui and Eunji Yoo of Peachtree Ridge High School were named Class of 2017 Suwanee Youth Leaders.

Savas Mavridis of Sharpsburg has been selected for the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars program.

Ananda Williams and Eric Pinckney of Atlanta were named the Arthur M. Blank YMCA 2017 Teen Leader and Volunteer of the Year, respectively.

Lauren Neal of Acworth received the Excellence in Research by a Master’s Student award from The University of Alabama for 2017.

Madeleine Tanner Kaplan of Dunwoody was chosen to participate in Wofford’s Presidential Seminar 2017.

Anna Lee and  Natalie DeMars of Woodward Academy were selected for their original painting and photography, respectively, to be included in the 2017 Atlanta High School Art Exhibit at the Dogwood Festival.

Christopher Mikus of Cumming, Laura Gough of Douglasville, Rakan Aseeri and Naif Alhwsawi of Duluth, Amy Friedlander of Dunwoody, Tai Bierria of Marietta, Walterine Jennings of Powder Springs, William McDonald of Roswell and Savannah Smith and Madison Slover of Woodstock were named to University of Memphis’ dean’s list.
