‘Barbie Bandit' back in jail following brawl outside Gwinnett club

One of two women dubbed the "Barbie Bandits" following a 2007 Cobb County bank robbery is behind bars again, this time for violating her probation.

Ashley Nicole Miller, 22, was sentenced to 90 days in jail after her arrest stemming from a fight in a bar parking lot in Gwinnett County last Halloween. Once that case was resolved, Cobb County took action against Miller for probation violation. She was booked into the Cobb County jail Jan. 14, jail records show.

Miller's Gwinnett County battery arrest stems from a fight she and another woman had with a third woman in the parking lot of Club Bella, a nightclub on Old Norcross Road near Duluth.

According to a Gwinnett police incident report, an officer was working a second job at the club when a valet alerted him to a fight in the parking lot shortly before 3 a.m. on Oct. 31, Halloween weekend.

When the officer went outside, he found Miller and another woman, Victoria Crosby, 19, of Duluth, beating a third woman who was on the ground. According to the report, one of the two attackers was hitting the victim with a "knee-length leather boot."

As the officer approached, Miller and Crosby -- who were both wearing a "pink costume" -- ran, the report states. The officer gave chase, and stopped them about 30 yards away.

According to the police report, both Miller and Crosby refused the officer's commands and had to be "physically detained" before being placed in handcuffs.

"Crosby and Miller both called the victim "b****" and said that the victim got what she deserved," Officer D. Hennelly wrote in his report.

The victim, Nomarelis Rodriguez, had "large, swelling bruises" to her cheek and forehead, but refused treatment for her injuries, according to the report.

"The victim said that she was inside the nightclub when she had a disagreement with the offenders," Hennelly wrote in his report. "The victim stated that she walked away from them in the club. The victim said that when they saw each other outside the club, the argument restarted and became physical."

Miller was charged with battery, and entered a guilty plea on Nov. 5. She was sentenced to 12 months' probation, according to online court records.

Miller and Heather Lyn Johnston first made headlines in February 2007, when the Gwinnett County high school graduates drove to Cobb County and robbed a bank inside a Kroger grocery store. Surveillance video later showed the two laughing as they stole nearly $11,000 from a bank teller who was later determined to be part of the heist.

Then, the two went shopping and got new hairdos -- using their own names -- before being caught and convicted in a Cobb County courtroom.

Johnston, who was the first to plead guilty in the case, got off with only probation, but Miller was sentenced to two years in prison and eight years of probation. Miller began her sentence at Arrandale State Prison on May 21, 2008, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. She was released Jan. 12 of last year.
