Atlanta road work public meetings scheduled

Atlanta residents can learn about and provide feedback on several road projects during second rounds of public meetings held by the city of Atlanta and Atlanta City Council.

  • A public meeting about the Lawton Street resurfacing project takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. May 31 at West Hunter Street Baptist Church, 1040 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd., S.W.
  • An open house about the Wieuca Road and Phipps Boulevard roundabout project is from 6 to 8 p.m. June 7 at Wieuca Road Baptist Church, 3626 Peachtree Road, N.E.
  • A meeting about the Fairburn Complete Street project is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. June 22 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 17 Fairburn Rd., S.W.

There will be displays about the projects’ potential impacts to adjacent properties, according to information from Renew Atlanta, a $250 million infrastructure improvement program for the City of Atlanta.
