A man robbed an Atlanta City Council member and a council candidate Saturday in southwest Atlanta, police said.

Councilman C.T. Martin and council candidate Andrea Boone were leaving her campaign headquarters about 9:44 p.m. Saturday on Lynhurt Drive when a man approached them, demanding money and their car keys, Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos said.

Martin and Boone handed over personal belongings, cash, credit cards and their keys. The gunman drove off in a rented 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, Campos said

No one was injured.
