Atlanta police have issued a lookout for a man who may have “crucial information” that could help solve a murder.

Police want to speak with Michael Antonio Lay, aka "Bald Head Mike," about a woman, whose body was found by her 9-year-old grandson on New Year's Eve. The woman had been strangled.

Lay is a person of interest, but police have issued no warrants for him in the case.

On the final day of 2016, police responded about 5:40 a.m. to an apartment in the 1000 block of Hollywood Road in northwest Atlanta, authorities said. The body of Julia McTure, 47,was in the living room.

"(The grandson) was there but in another room when it occurred," Atlanta police Maj. Adam Lee told Channel 2 Action News. "He woke up to go to the bathroom and found his grandmother on the floor and he couldn't wake her up."

Police did not provide information on any possible connection between Lay and McTure.

Anyone with information about Lay’s whereabouts may call Det. A. Klein at 404-546-4235 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
