A 26-year-old North Fulton County man is accused in an attempting kidnapping Saturday, deputies said.
The father of a 3-year-old told authorities a man picked up his son and tried to leave the Barnes and Noble bookstore on Peachtree Parkway in Forsyth County.
After seeing the alleged assault about 3 p.m. Saturday, the dad stopped the man from leaving with his son, Forsyth County sheriff’s Deputy Doug Rainwater said in a news release.
Video of the attack was shared on social media and officials arrested Michael Fazio Sunday morning.
Fazio was booked into jail and is being held without bond.
The case remains under investigation by the Major Crimes Unit and additional details are not being released at this time, Rainwater said.
