This is "Actual Factual Gwinnett," a regular column in which I, Amanda Coyne, answer reader questions about Gwinnett happenings and history. Enjoy!

Reader Elizabeth B. asks:

"What are they building behind the new Cracker Barrel in Snellville? It looks like construction may be starting there too. They have been out there measuring . Thanks!"

No, Elizabeth, thank you.

The Snellville Cracker Barrel opened in March to much fanfare, but that strip of Scenic Highway is still growing. Plans for a five-story Hampton Inn and Suites were approved by the city of Snellville in late March.

The hotel, which will have up to 100 rooms, will be on the south side of Pharrs Road near the intersection with Ga. 124 (Scenic Highway). That area has seen much recent development, including the Cracker Barrel, a Zaxby's and Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers.
