No injuries were reported from a fire that burned about 25 acres in Bartow County at Allatoona Dam, an official said Friday morning.

Crews were “knocking down the hot spots” Friday from the fire that broke out Thursday afternoon, Deputy Chief Bryan Keeling told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Only natural vegetation burned, Keeling said, and no structures were damaged. The cause of the fire is not known.

The dam is on the Etowah River east of Cartersville.
