A 250-foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, along with a mobile education center, will make two stops in Georgia during a 2017 tour.

The only metro Atlanta stop for "The Wall That Heals" by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund will be in Johns Creek, at Newtown park, from March 30 to April 2.

The half-scale replica will be open 24 hours a day and free to the public, the city announced Tuesday.

The visit is possible due to a request by the Knights of Columbus Assembly of St. Brigid Catholic Church on behalf of the Johns Creek and the Johns Creek Veterans Association, according to the press release.

The mobile memorial was in Georgia as recently as Nov. 2016, when it stopped in Woodstock. A second state stop in the Candler County city of Metter, in middle Georgia, is scheduled for October 19-22.
