Former DeKalb schools Superintendent Michael Thurmond is considering a run to become the county's CEO.

Thurmond told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Wednesday that citizens are urging him to run, but he hasn’t made a decision.

Thurmond, an attorney, is a former state labor commissioner and state House member.

Interim DeKalb CEO Lee May is also weighing a run for a full-year term in the May 24 Democratic primary.
