Gwinnett County school board members voted late Thursday in favor of a two-year extension of the New Life Academy of Excellence charter school.

The current contract was scheduled to expire on June 30.

The school, located in Duluth, had its charter approved in 2006. It has about 670 students.

Gwinnett administrators recommended the school’s enrollment shall not exceed 1,000 students.
