Past and present Habitat for Humanity International Board members hold the wall they raised in place while it is secured. It is the 800,000th house that the organization has built, rehabilitated or repaired worldwide. According the the organization, an estimated 4 million people have improved their living conditions through Habitat's housing solutions since the organization was founded in 1976. The milestone home is located in Atlanta Habitat's neighborhood of Verbena Place, where 14 homes have been built by Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, with plans to construct 38 more. Habitat for Humanity says it is on track to build, renovate, repair or improve 1 million homes by the end of 2015.
