GOP tax cuts divide Georgia voters in AJC poll

See how the opinions fell on this years first AJC legislative poll.

A new Atlanta Journal-Constitution poll shows that Georgia voters are broadly suspicious of President Donald Trump's signature accomplishment in his first year in office: the package of $1.5 trillion in tax cuts that Republicans will take to the campaign trail for midterm elections this year. The poll shows only about one-third of voters approve of the legislation.  To read more on what Georgians have to say about the tax cuts, click here for our in-depth report at myAJC.com.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
Poll part one: On Friday, the AJC released the first results in the poll, which examined President Donald Trump's approval ratings in Georgia. Our survey found that 6 in 10 registered voters disapprove of his performance in office. That's a decline from an AJC poll taken a year ago shortly before Trump took office. Poll part two: On Saturday, the AJC released results of the poll connected to legislative issues.  A majority of Georgia voters say the Georgia Legislature should agree to offer Amazon more than $1 billion in incentives to lure the internet retail giant's second headquarters. Such a move could bring 50,000 jobs to Georgia. In the poll, Georgians also talked about improving education, Medicaid expansion and some controversial issues that have residents divided.
