Forbes recently released its ranking of America's best states for business and best states for future job growth — and Georgia ranked among the top 15 for both categories.

The state ranked at No. 11 for the best states for business with a metro population of 10,160,200, gross state product of $476 billion, college attainment of 29 percent and a projected annual job growth of 2.4 percent.

Georgia's 2.4 percent projected annual job growth also ranked the state at No. 5 on Forbes' best states for future job growth.

Here are the top 15 best states for business according to Forbes:

  1. Utah
  2. North Carolina
  3. Nebraska
  4. North Dakota
  5. Colorado
  6. Texas
  7. Virginia
  8. Indiana
  9. South Dakota
  10. Washington
  11. Georgia
  12. Oregon
  13. Minnesota
  14. Iowa
  15. Ohio

And the top 10 best states for future job growth:

  1. Arizona, 3.1 percent
  2. Nevada, 2.9 percent
  3. Florida, 2.7 percent
  4. Utah, 2.5 percent
  5. Georgia, 2.4 percent
  6. Oregon, 2.4 percent
  7. Washington, 2.3 percent
  8. Idaho, 2.2 percent
  9. South Carolina, 2.2 percent
  10. California, 2.1 percent
