The teenage brothers sought in connection with a fatal shooting at an Atlanta gas station turned themselves over to police Sunday.

Friends and community members told Channel 2 they suspected Charlie McDaniel, 16, and his 15-year-old brother, Isaac McDaniel, calling them outsiders who had been causing trouble in the area.

They turned themselves in at 166 Edwards Street NW, Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said.

"They were with their parents this morning at Hunter Hill First Baptist Church," Jones said.

Anthony Brooks, 50, was shot Thursday night after an alleged confrontation about recent carjackings in the 4500 block of Campbellton Road.

Police were called to the scene about 8:45 p.m. and Brooks was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died, Atlanta police Officer Kim Jones said.

Three men got away in a red Dodge Charger stolen from College Park, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.
