A trio of women were robbed at two apartment complexes in Buckhead and Midtown on Nov. 1, Atlanta police said.

Atlanta police are investigating three armed robberies at two gated apartment complexes within a mile of each other on Wednesday.

Police confirmed to AJC.com that three women were robbed at gunpoint within 24 hours in Midtown and Buckhead. At least two of the robberies are believed to involve the same suspect.

A man wearing all black robbed a 24-year-old woman at the Brookwood Valley Apartments in Buckhead around 11 p.m., Atlanta police spokeswoman Stephanie Brown said.

He stole her purse, and then he’s accused of running to the back of the parking lot and robbing a 31-year-old woman of her belongings before running away, the report said.

Earlier that morning around 3:45 a.m., an armed robber ambushed a woman in the parking deck at the 1660 Peachtree Apartments in Midtown, according to a police incident report. The woman’s cellphone, wallet, credit cards and keys were stolen.

Police haven’t confirmed if this suspect is the same one who robbed the two women at the Brookwood Valley Apartments later that day. Both apartment complexes are within a mile of each other along Peachtree Street.

Police told Channel 2 Action News that extra officers will be present in the area while the crimes remain unsolved.
