A man killed in a DeKalb County motel shooting was in an argument with the suspected shooter.

Police have not made any arrests in a DeKalb County motel shooting, but said they have a suspect in the case.

“We are aware of who he is and there are warrants for his arrest,” DeKalb County police spokesman Lt. Lonzy Robertson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Eric Fisher, 27, was found lying face up with multiple gunshot wounds Sunday night in the parking lot of a Motel 6 on Chamblee Tucker Road, according to a police report. Police said Fisher was with an acquaintance when he got into an argument with another person.

The suspected shooter fired several rounds from a pistol into Fisher and left the scene in a black sedan, which was last seen headed toward I-85.

Police have not released the ID of the suspect.
