Union City cops seek suspect in fatal armed robbery, carjacking

Union City police said a man was fatally shot Saturday during an armed robbery at a convenience store.

Taurus Jermaine Freeman, 40, died at Grady Memorial Hospital after being shot multiple times, Officer Chris Murphy said. Freeman had struggled with a gunman who demanded keys to his 2012 Dodge Challenger outside the Chevron at 4520 Jonesboro Road, Murphy said.
