All it took was a trail of blood for a Clarke County grand jury to indict University of Georgia student Brandyn Matthew Clark on 11 felony counts of second-degree criminal damage.

The blood trail followed Clark from several damaged vehicles in a parking garage back to his apartment, the Athens Banner-Herald reported. Police say Clark intentionally damaged red cars in January while looking for a red car that he said damaged his own white Honda Civic in a hit-and-run crash.

He is accused of doing $20,000 worth of damage to nearly a dozen cars, the newspaper reported.

Clark was arrested after police said , the Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. He allegedly kicked and hit cars and used a tool to punch holes in them.

Clark is free on bond. His next court appearance is Aug. 19.
