Two teens are were convicted of murder Friday after prosecutors say they shot and killed a clerk then stole cash, cigarettes and snacks, The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported.

Dylon Dave Allen and Zaykives Banard McCray, both 18 and from Rome, were accused of breaking into the Melanie Inn Convenience store on Hawkins Drive in Summerville in January 2016 and shooting clerk Chiragkumar Patel, 47, in the stomach, the paper reported.

The two teens also shoved a customer to the ground and stole $350, a roll of pennies, cigars, cigarettes and Doritos.

The duo will be sentenced 9 a.m. Monday in Chattooga County Superior Court, the newspaper reported.
