Nearly two months after a man was found dead outside a Lithonia home, DeKalb County police have made arrests in the case.

Christopher Wilson’s body was found Jan. 20 on the 6900 block of Browns Mill Lake Road after two teens — Danny Vu, 19, of McDonough, and Sylvester Richardson, 18, of Lithonia — allegedly tried to rob him, according to police.

The report said a witness saw “a black sedan with lights off pull up to the cul de sac from his window.” The witness told police at least seven people jumped out of the car and started pulling on the doors of the house as if they were trying to break in.

He then heard four gunshots and saw the men run back to the car and drive off, according to the police report.

Officers later found Wilson’s body lying on the left side of the house with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

The homeowner was inside at the time, police said.

DeKalb police spokesman Maj. Stephen Fore said Vu and Richardson allegedly tried to rob Wilson.

Police did not say why Wilson was outside the home or if he knew the suspects.

Vu was arrested March 9 and Richardson was arrested Feb. 23, according to jail records. They both face murder charges.
