Authorities are searching for a man wanted on child molestation charges who is believed to be with a teenager, according to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.

Jason Arlis Johnson, 37, is also wanted on related charges, authorities said. He was last seen in a tan 1998 Ford Crown Victoria with a South Carolina license tag.

He is believed to be with a 15-year-old female runaway, according to the GBI. The teen was last seen in Evans and may have been abducted Sunday.

The GBI issued an Amber Alert on Thursday.
