Police have a suspect in custody after a fatal shooting happened inside a car on Highway 92 near Indian Drive in Woodstock.

The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m., Woodstock police spokeswoman Brittany Duncan said.

The highway was closed in both directions until about 11:30 p.m., when the eastbound side was opened.

The investigation wrapped up about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, and the westbound side of the highway was also opened.

The suspect was later identified as Darrell L. Eaker, 43, of Ball Ground. He is accused of killing his wife, 43-year-old Audra Eaker.
