A Macon resident fatally shot a man who ignored the homeowner’s request to stop approaching his house, the Telegraph of Macon reported.

About 8:30 p.m. Friday, the homeowner reported hearing a loud crash outside his bedroom window, according to the report. When he went to investigate, the homeowner found a man coming from behind the home dressed in black. The homeowner asked the man to stop.

When the man didn’t stop, the homeowner shot him several times, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said.
