Police are asking for the public’s help finding a man who tried to kidnap an 8-year-old girl from a playground in Covington.
The man wearing a mask and gloves tried to grab the girl outside the Wellington Ridge Apartments, Covington police said.
She was able to run away, and the accused man ran into nearby woods.
Police are asking anyone with trail cameras in the area to look for anyone wandering through the woods. Anyone with other information is asked to contact Det. Kara Hipps at 678-625-5555 or kara.hipps@covingtonpolice.com.
