A man has died after police found him shot multiple times in the parking lot of a convenience store, police said Friday.

Otis Purdue was found after a drive-by shooting about 1:40 p.m in the parking lot outside Quick and Cheap Foodstore in the 2100 block of Godby Road, College Park police spokesman Lt. Gerald Riser, Jr. said.

Purdue was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Riser said witnesses saw two men in a 2011 to 2016 burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee, leaving the store at a high speed.

The College Park Police Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to call Det. O. Manning at 678-346-5227 or College Park police at 404-761-3131.
